The Stream in 4 Seasons- April, August, October, December 2022- Blog and Vlogs by Ursula Carrie

NOTE: I completed the final edits of this chronology of The Stream, late night, on January 16, 2023

[INTRO-January 18, 2023- TEXT excerpted
from my Instagram post of this day.]

When I turned the camera on, on April 13th, 2022, I had no intention of compiling a chronology of The Stream in the 4 Seasons. I simply felt like taking a little video of this little place that I Love so much, hidden away under a bridge on my road. It's a place that you wouldn't notice when you're driving, only if you're out walking, which very few people, I think, on this road do.

✨Later that evening, this whole blog (text on the video) poured out through my Heart. I thought I was going to post it right away- but that didn't happen.

✨But I saved everything and, as the seasons progressed, I just found myself returning to this spot and taking more footage- which became [vlogs]- of the stream.

✨Before I knew it, I had a whole Story of The Stream, in all 4 Seasons.

I originally created this videography to share on my Instagram, but I wanted to share this with You. To share my Love for this Stream that has been a part of my life for so long, even when I'm here nestled quietly in my apartment, 187 feet away...

💓 With Love and Flowing Water Blessedness,
Rev. Ursula Carrie

187 ft west of the end of the driveway (I measured it on Google Maps! Lol) is this little bridge that you'd hardly notice while driving over it.

I always used to like to stand here for a bit, on the South side of the road, when I used to take long walks (before I got sick).

I liked to look down and watch the minnows swim (no minnows, yet)- in the little area of the stream that formed a sort of still pool, just under the bridge.

Here: is the stream that I hear on summer nights, with the living room windows open, after a good rain; the wetlands where the peepers peep; where the mallard and his lady make their nest; where the coyotes run, twice a year; where the Hawks hunt; where some of My Crows call home, at the edge of the forest.

My curiosity brought me down here this day, on the way back from the mailbox, to scout for signs of the Horsetail (Equisetum arvense) that I harvested near here (just before the bridge in the wet ditches) last year. Not yet. The roadside has been pretty torn apart by the winter, so I guess I'll see if it comes back in this place.

But for now, this Moment- just remembering how much I love this Sacred Water, and all of our Beautiful Streams in the Catskills.

Thank you for sharing this moment with me.

And- Thank You for Being Here.

Love,
Ursula Carrie
